Overview Minimize

At ASI we use IE (Industrial Engineering) type techniques to develop new/improved processes for our clients.  The end product is normally a process improvement or some type of IT (Information Technology) tool that automates the process.  Our employees combine the best of both worlds (IE & IT) with most having strong engineering backgrounds combined with strong tech savvy.  The ideal skill set would include:

·         Strong process improvement background.  Lean / Six Sigma training is a plus since it helps with the terminology.

·         Strong communication skills.  Both written and verbal since our employees will be spending a lot of time with clients, out on the shop floors, and preparing charts and reports discussing their findings.

·         Tech savvy.  This includes a strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Everyone claims knowledge of this suite, but few can truly format a Word document or utilize Excel to perform analysis.

·         Programming knowledge.  Visual Basic at a minimum.  Working knowledge of a database such as Access is ideal including the ability to perform embedded SQL type queries.

·         Self motivated.  Everyone lists this with their job descriptions, but we do not have managers that just oversee people and do not plan to hire any at this point. The employee will need to be mature and able to work independently. Type A personalities fit best as long as you are team oriented.

Office Manager Minimize
Position Overview:
Position is an office manager role where you will be involved in many aspects of running the business. Strong attention to detail and detailed record keeping are key aspects of the position. The job will have wide ranging responsibilities including:
  • Book keeping
  • Client follow-up
  • Data entry
  • Webpage maintenance
  • Proof reading / finalizing papers and brochures
  • Web research
  • Purchase needed office supplies

Previous experience necessary

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is based on qualifications/experiences and will include salary plus annual bonuses based on performance and profit sharing plan.
  
Engineering Manager Minimize

Position Overview:
The candidate will become part of an experienced team performing logistics consulting, logistics product specifications, software development/management, and sales and marketing technical support. The candidate must have strong organizational and communication skills and be willing to travel.

Responsibilities Breakdown:
The candidate will lead logistics consulting projects both on and off client’s site. The candidate will work directly with clients at many levels and must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will manage both internal project requirements as well as client resources. The ability to perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel and Access is strongly desired. Programming expertise is considered an advantage. Past project management experience is required.

Background Required:
BS or BA in engineering or logistics or equivalent experience
Two years experience minimum
DoD (Department of Defense) experience is a bonus

Engineering Analyst Minimize
Position Overview:

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have both programming and network management experience.  Powerbuilder and Visual studio as well as database management is a plus.  Experience working with both Unix and Windows platforms is a bonus.  The candidate must have good communication skills, be willing to accept responsibility, and be willing to travel.

Responsibilities Breakdown:
The candidate will perform software development and network management.  The candidate will work directly with both engineering and clients at many levels and must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.  Past programming experience is required.

Background Required:
BS or BA in computer science, computer engineering
Two years experience minimum
DoD (Department of Defense) experience is a bonus
